Romans 13:9-10
For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Love is an attitude, a commitment, a form of behavior, passionately demonstrated for the benefit of another without intentionally expecting a reward.

Holiness works by love. Follow peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord, Hebrews 12:14. Holiness is the criteria for any man to see the Lord. God is holy and cannot behold iniquity. Before Jesus paid the price for man’s redemption from sin, the Priests had to thoroughly cleanse themselves with sin offering before they could approach God in the holy of holies. Any priest that was not properly cleansed before this exercise was struck dead in the presence of the God that cannot behold iniquity. Christ shed His blood so that His blood would wipe all our sins away and make us holy before the Father. This shows the value of holiness. Yet, as much as God values holiness, it does not work without love. The bible tells us in 1Peter 4:8- And above all things have fervent charity (love) among yourselves: for charity (love) shall cover the multitude of sins. When love is on ground, judgment is averted.
